Why Vibe-Coded SPAs are Invisible to AI

Vibe coding tools rapidly generate React Single Page Applications (SPAs). These apps deliver a blank HTML shell to the browser, relying on JavaScript to populate the content. Step 1: Audit Your AI Crawlability

The first step is knowing exactly what the bots see. Use this prompt to perform a deep audit of your current crawlability.

Run the AI Bot Simulation

Fetch your homepage as GPTBot would see it. Before fixing anything, you need to know exactly what AI bots see when they fetch your site. The simplest audit is a curl command that mimics a bot — no JavaScript, just raw HTTP.

Step 2: Explicitly Allow AI Bots

Ensure your robots.txt permits major AI agents. Blocking them prevents your content from being surfaced in Answer Engines.

Blocking vs. allowing: Blocking GPTBot prevents ChatGPT from training on your content and from citing you. If you want citations without training, there's currently no clean separation for most platforms. The recommendation for most B2B SaaS companies: allow all AI search bots. The citation upside far outweighs the training concern at your scale.

This is the core engineering fix. You have four options, ordered by implementation effort. Choose based on your stack and timeline.

Step 4: Implement Multi-Schema JSON-LD

Schemas are the "Fact Sheet" for AI. They help LLMs categorize your company and product accurately using structured data.

Step 6: Signal Dynamic Freshness

AI engines prioritize fresh data. If your site hasn't been "updated" in 6 months, an LLM might skip it for a more recent competitor. Signal recency by updating your dateModified dynamically.

Pro Tip: We set our dateModified to Today - 1. This signals to the AI that the content is verified and current without looking like a "just-now" hack that some engines might filter.

Step 7: Verification via AI Traffic

Verification is the final loop. You must prove that these changes are resulting in real citations and real traffic. We used ThriveStack's own measurement engine to verify the effectiveness of our AEO efforts.
